Gaming on the Blockchain

After teeing-off a successful proof of concept with the first season of their play-to-earn crypto golf game, Turner Sports asked me to develop an entirely new visual direction for a more polished game aesthetic and subsequent rebrand. Creative direction included everything from avatars, to golfer accessories, virtual worlds and branding.

The Blocklete app was made in partnership with Sumo Digital.

$900,000 profit in 24 hours, a 75,000% ROI and nearly $70,000 spent on one digital basketball you can't actually dribble 🤯

This NFT concept was developed to drop alongside the premiere of B/R Open Run, a televised pickup game between multi-platinum rappers Quavo, 2Chainz, Jack Harlow and Lil' Baby. where the quartet played a half-court pickup game for half a million dollars, presented by Modelo.

Completed in warp speed, I was responsible for concept and creative. All artwork drafted and approvals received within mere days, made possible with technical support from GigLabs.

Double Decker, See-Through Basketball Court

Crystal Court

I wanted to offer a new perspective in sports and challenge the notion of how we should collectively experience the game.

Basketball has been viewed the same way, without innovation, since James Naismith hung the first peach basket in 1891. By offering a see-through, elevated plane between stars and spectators, a new spatial relationship is forged and a slam dunk is suddenly felt with palpable force.

For All-Star weekend, we set out to make something we had not seen before, that was both universally show-stopping and structurally sound. Our final build doubled as a concert stage atop and lounge below.

Dodgeball Stadium for Televised Production

Dodgeball Arena

Dodge, duck, dip, dive and ...dodge.

House of Highlights invited FaZe Clan, 2HYPE, AMP and RDCworld to battle it out over a competitive game of dodgeball, where the last team standing walks out of the Pizza Hut arena with 250,000 dollars in cash.

Showdown was the number 1 trending video worldwide on YouTube with 2.2 Million concurrent views. It garnered a total of 70 million video views across social and received 572K chat messages during the live stream.

Responsibilities included creative direction of the show's branding and stadium set design.

AR Memorial for All-Star Weekend

Mamba Forever

AR filters are an excellent, low-cost method to engage with the consumer. As a creative, you are no longer bound by physical build limitations and the economic hurdles typically met with filling a space.

‘Mamba Forever’ debuted at All-Star Weekend in Kobe Bryant’s honor shortly after the crash. Aside from being an impactful visual, there’s a deeper concept somewhere in here about a new way of erecting monuments to remembering the deceased without ever breaking ground.
